Summer League All-Star Team Selected…
Manager: Richard Llanes (City Park FC) has been the manager of City Park FC since the inaugural season of Crescent City Soccer and has transformed the side from a team with two last-place finishes (most recently, in the Spring 2010 season) in the Wednesday League to Summer League Champions! Whether Richard was making changes to the starting team, orchestrating substitutions, delivering inspiring speeches, or carrying-out player transactions, it has been a pleasure to watch this masterful display of managerial prowess.
TJ Sobotie (City Park FC) proved to be the integral piece in the transformation of City Park FC as he turned in several inspiring performances and collected numerous League Player of Week awards over the Summer Season.
Jessie Jacobi (LA United) pretty much scores a hat-trick per game. That’s something serious.
Julian Largaespada (Arsenal/K-Blockers) Plays every position on the field. Julian typically starts in the net, preserving a clean sheet through the first half, after which point, he takes to the field as a midfield maestro who contributes goals and assists at will. When Julian plays, his teams win.
Adan Garcia (Real Metairie) Emerged as a top player in the leaguesthis season. After failing to qualify for play-offs in the previous season, Adan played a massive role in carrying Real Metairie to a First Place, perfect regular season finish for the Summer Season.
Jen Kritch (Faubourg St. John/Orphans) Everybody in the leagues knows to Look Out for Jen Kritch.
Becky Wollman (Parish Players) Save after save…..after save…..after save. Becky consistently fortifies the back line of Parish Players. Sometimes, they do not even get back on defense, because, “why waste the energy with Becky in the goal?”
Jason Erickson (Glass Half-Full) NEVER EVER sleep on Jason. He has quick and deadly inside and outside of the foot cut-backs. He makes more defenders lose balance than Cristiano Ronaldo, and his deceivingly nimble feet have caught many players off-guard – by the end of each game, opposing players tend to give Jason plenty of space when he has the ball.
John Hatch (Uptown FC) is a player, manager, and leader of his team. John’s consistent performances propelled Uptown to an undefeated championship-winning season.
Fletcher Wheaton (The Ronnies) Brings heart, skill and touch raw-power to the game for The Ronnies. He trielessly gets up and down the field providing crucial tackles and pile-driving shots from one moment to the next.
Georgio Reed (Jen Georgio’s Team) aWithout a doubt, one of the most improved players in the Crescent City Soccer. Backbone of his team on the field who earned representation in his Team’s name for the most recent campain (name changing from “Jen Gold’s Team” to “Jen Georgio’s team.”

Tuesday Competitive II:
The heat was scorching, and tempers were flaring for this early season rematch between Arsenal and Glass Half Full. This game was filled with great moments and incredible energy. Arsenal played the possession game and maintained control for most of the game. Glass Half Full sat in and would wait to pounce on an Arsenal mistake. With great patience Glass Half Full broke a scoreless game on a counter attack in the first half that was taken down the line and crossed to wide open Leslie Campbell for a perfectly placed header in the lower corner of the net. Arsenal seemed flustered but maintained possession and waited for a seam in the Glass Half Full defense. With 5 minutes left in the first half and down by 2 goals Arsenals forward tucked a shot in behind Ryan Messina. The 2nd half had relentless pressure on both sides. Arsenal pushed the ball forward with pace and ripped masterful shot after shot at what seemed to be an impenetrable Glass Half Full keeper. The score went back in forth till the last 3 minutes Arsenal was able to get in behind the Glass Half Full defense and cross the ball to an on coming forward who buried the ball in the back of the net for the Championship securing goal.
